Positive Journalism

The core purpose of journalism is to promote overall development and goodness in society. However, over time, the nature of journalism has changed, and attitudes towards it have also shifted. ‘Voice of Media’ has taken the initiative to develop positive journalism, bring it to society, and reach the common people. Efforts were made to highlight the plight of important yet deprived elements of society through journalism and to provide them with more opportunities to have their voices heard. ‘Voice of Media’ organized awards to encourage positive journalism, with seven winners being recognized out of 33 applications received for the first Positive Journalism Award.

Additionally, the organization introduced the Maharashtra Bhushan Award to honor individuals and their work in promoting journalism and supporting journalists within the state. This initiative involved collaborating with the government to raise awareness about the commendable efforts of these individuals
